The Bayti “My Home” was founded by Maram Foundation in September 2014 in the city of Reyhanli, southern Turkey in response to the Syrian refugee community’s most vulnerable population. Between 2014 and 2017 Bayti was the home for more than 60 Syrian orphans ages 3-13 years in addition to more than 60 other children of the same age who lost one of their parents or both but live with a family member. The project included full board accommodation for the orphans, a teaching facility, and a leadership program. In addition, the project delivered vocational training to Syrian women, youth and adolescents.
