Summary and Organization Relation
The Reporting Officer is fully responsible to ensure that all information and data from the field is captured, documented, analyzed and reported in a results-based and timely manner for donors and internal purposes. Additionally, the officer is to coordinate and collate the relevant information from the MEAL Department to provide the necessary findings to the stakeholder involved. The Reporting Officer is responsible to develop communication material on MF activities for external audience.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inputs to and draft reports related to project activities.
  • Develop appropriate reporting formats to meet all reporting requirements of the Project.
  • Work closely with the Project Team to support reporting functions.
    Coordinate the finalization of donor reporting.
  • Establish a reporting schedule and ensure the timely submission of reports as identified.
  • Provide quality assurance, including data verification, on all reports and information products produced by the project by editing and consolidating all reports prepared by the project.
  • Liaise with the team in the dissemination of reports and the accuracy of information included in visibility materials and publications;
    Draft briefing notes, talking points and other correspondence related to the project.
  • Produce and update information products such as maps, charts and info-graphics by turning data into graphical products to convey messages and a storyline as well as support strategic and operational decision-making
    Act as a focal point/central instrument for the collection, analysis and dissemination of information relevant to verification, monitoring and inspection activities.
  • Understand, document and ensure the quality of high-value data for accuracy, consistency and comparability.
  • Conduct other duties as required by the Project Manager.
  • Producing the project monthly, quarterly, and final reports for submission to the Project Management team in a timely manner.
  • Any other related duties assigned by line manager when required.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in studies related to the job description.
Experience

  • At least 1 year of progressively responsible experience in political and/or donor reporting, communications, public relations, project development, data Analysis, data visualization and report writing.
  • Conceptual analytical and evaluative skills to conduct independent research and analysis, including familiarity with and experience in the use of various research sources, including electronic sources on the internet, intranet and other databases.
  • Previous reporting experience within the UN system/ diplomatic entity/NGO is desired.
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages as well as infographics competencies.
  • Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English, Arabic is required.
