Function and Organizational Relationships

The Program Coordinator (PC) reports to the Head of Programs (HOP). The PC coordinates and conducts project management roles for his/her respective sectoral team (CCCM, Emergency Response). The PC is responsible for the implementation of projects within the sectoral team and is only differentiated from the Project Officer by his/her role in coordinating the team, being responsible for reporting all project activities to the HOP, and supporting the HOP in performance feedback and reviews for the respective team. The responsibilities otherwise mirror those of the Project Officer. The PC leads the team of Projects Officers within his/her respective sector and coordinates with Operations, Logistics, and M&E with the support unit. The PC is directly accountable to the HOP for effectively performing all responsibilities. The PC provides reports on all aspects of the Foundations performance as requested by the HOP.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Coordinates the design, proposal development, implementation of projects between different project officers.
  2. Supports the development and reviews in coordination with the SPM the overall project work plans and budgets; provides guidance to the employees in their delivery of duties.
  3. Provides technical guidance and oversight to implemented projects.
  4. Lead the technical coordination between Head of Programs and projects to ensure implementation in a systematic and timely manner, to follow work plan targets, achieve technical requirements and complete deliverables in accordance with subproject agreements and budgets.
  5. Support the design M&E framework.
  6. Prepare projects reports, templates, and requirements.
  7. Perform other related duties as assigned.

 Qualifications

 At least five years of relevant experience, including at least three years of experience in CSO management.

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a study area relevant such as political science, development studies, humanities, economics, business administration or related fields; Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience in relief and development preferably in an international organization or NGO.
  • Professional experience in Project Cycle Management (PCM).
  • Familiarity with the Syrian conflict, Syrian NGOs and stakeholders; personal awareness and engagement.
  • Strong communication, management, and interpersonal skills.

Arabic and English are required, Turkish is an asset.
