Protection Technical Supervisor (Gaziantep)

The Maram Foundation for Relief and Development (Maram) is a non-profit organization, founded by American-Syrian activists to alleviate the suffering of people in need since its inception to date the foundation had delivered lifesaving aid and developmental projects to hundreds of thousands of Syrian IDPs and refugees along with host committees.

Function and Organizational Relationships
Protection Technical Supervisor will be responsible to implement Maram Foundation strategies in response to the severe humanitarian needs of the most vulnerable and exposed Syrian people while educating them to increasing their awareness and resilience capacities.

Protection Program Technical Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating all work activities between related sectors to manage program development, planning, quality and timely implementation of all Maram Foundation protection projects in Syria.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Serve as an integral part of the program leadership team, focused on directly serving most vulnerable people women, children, and survivors of violence.
2. Develop requirements definition, write new proposals, or amend existing proposals, grant applications, extensions, planning, defining strategies, and reporting to donors.
3. Coordinate with all Maram Foundation departments and external hamartian cluster in particular but not limited to CCCM, WASH and Shelter Coordinators, for all project activities
4. Develop and adjust strategies for emergency, recovery and rehabilitation programs based on thorough humanitarian analysis, provided by Maram Foundation, partners, other sectors and local government.
5. Support the Program Team in the implementation of operations and monitor data feed used in program management to measure progress on project indicators and outcomes, ensuring compliance with donor s requirements and sector standards.
6. Manage program budgets and spending is consistent with resources available, donor commitments and funding requirements.
7. Manage timely information exchange, and respond to internal and external requests for reports and information about programs.
8. Maintain relationships and work with a wide range of Donors, partners and local government offices to facilitate, refer and coordinate services for survivors of violence and to protect the most venerable to gender violence.
9. Supports the implementation of internal procedures in coordination with the Administration, Programs, Finance and the Logistics to manage grant funds to critical services to survivors of violence;
10. Supports internal improvement processes. Conduct and manage case management meetings, help case managers to document success stories and their requirements with consideration of taking beneficiaries’ consent in order to publish these stories.
11. Manage access critical services including: medical and legal support, emergency shelter and housing, transportation, clothing, food, child care, psychological support, legal support and essential services essential to help the most venerable to gender violence build safe, independent lives.
12. Maintain records and prepare reports on number of induvial served, referrals to service providers, and other information as needed to track services.
13. Attending all meetings managed by Cluster & Sub-cluster to help the victims and most venerable to gender violence.
14. Updates Cluster & Sub-cluster of services provided by Maram foundation to the victims of gender violence
15. Conducting technical assessment for case managers according to HR policy, and provide individual counseling, training and support for case managers.
16. Manage periodic supervisory technical sessions with case managers, to evaluate nature of each case whether they are individual or group, and reporting those sessions.
17. Conducting workshops for humanitarian actors (internally & externally) to contribute to protection mainstreaming.
18. Perform other duties assigned by Direct Manager.

Qualifications
1. 3+ years’ experience in the field of social services
2. Bachelors or Master degree in psychology, social work or a related field;
3. Mental Health or Social Work certification preferred;
4. Previous experience working with global development sector and/or nonprofit sectors preferred;
5. Must have excellent organizational, time management, communication and writing skills;
6. Experience with grantmaking procedures and reporting requirements of NGOs preferred;
7. Knowledge and experience working with the legal system in Syria and Turkey and familiarity with cases of violence against women and children required.

Job Requirements Related to the Syrian Conflict
1. Familiar with the Syrian conflict, Syrian NGOs and stakeholders
2. Flaunt in Arabic and English languages, Turkish language is definite plus.
3. Valid Turkish residency permits and ability to travel in the region.
4. Professional experience in Project Cycle Management (PCM).
