Good Shelter is everyone's right Shelter
Maram, through its shelter projects, is providing good shelter for the affected IDPs in northwest Syria.
During the snowstorm that hit northwest Syria at the end of January 2022, many tents were torn and destroyed under the influence of heavy snow, these affected people with their children were homeless in the freezing weather. Maram opened the snowy roads to reach those affected and provided an alternative shelter to protect them from the cold.
My tent collapsed over my children and our things were covered in water. My children were shivering from the cold. Maram replaced our tent and provided shelter. They also provided us with an alternative to our belongings that had drowned in the water. I have a shelter that protects me from the cold and my children are safe now. Thank you, Maram.
“My tent got burned by the fire in the harsh winter and I was left homeless. My children were crying from the cold, and I no longer had a place to sleep, all my things were burned”, a woman says while crying, “but Maram rushed to us and secured a shelter for me and my children and provided us with sleeping and kitchen necessities. Praise be to God, I have a place that protects me from the winter and I sleep in it with my children. Thank you, Maram”.
