Program Officer – Gaziantep – Türkiye

Maram Foundation is a non-profit organization registered in Turkey. Maram is dedicated to providing assistance to refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) since the beginning of the Syrian Crisis in 2011.

MF works to provide assistance to the lives of people affected by armed conflict and other situations of violence. We aim to provide cross-sectoral collaborative and sustainable initiatives that bridge humanitarian assistance and development according to the needs of communities living inside and outside Syria.

The Program Officer (PO) is responsible for the management and delivery of project activities and budget related to Protection, ER and CCCM, timely reporting and regular monitoring and evaluation of project achievements. The PO reports directly to the Programs Coordinator and is accountable for effectively performing all responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Take primary responsibility for coordinating the work of the project activities including vocational training, life skills and related activities.
  • PO provide day to day management for assigned project.
  • Prepare overall implementation plan of the project.
  • Diligently manages the project from inception to the signing of the contract and financial closure.
  • Support and manage Case Workers in service mapping and establishment of the referral mechanism.
  • Train and build the capacity of the field team on the topics related to (PFA), PSEA, CP, referrals pathways, case management and all related technical training.
  • Conduct awareness raising sessions on rights and services.
  • Specifying the technical requirements needed for the staff working in Syria on field in terms of vocational training timing, strategies and grant support.
  • Ensures assignment and receipt of reports and data from field staff.
  • Reviews and ensures accuracy and proficiency of reports of field staff before assembling and finalizing to be sent to others (anyone outside Maram or Donors)
  • Preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and final reports of the project.
  • Preparing the 4Ws reports for the cluster.
  • Assists in proposals writing.
  • Working closely with both logistic and finance team for required issues.
  • Ensure that mechanisms to monitor the performance of Maram Foundations partners on Protection, ER & CCCM activities in the camps / settlements / host community are in place.
  • Manage and coordinate with M&E Monitoring System data collection and reporting is carried out systematically, properly and timely with quality information reporting.
  • Design develop Reporting System to report regularly on the relevant activity for all partners, while maintaining accurate records of all relevant performance indicators.
  • Support Protection, ER & CCCM activities by coordinating tasks with procurement, Logistic and HR teams.
  • Prepare and submit the regular weekly, monthly and final reports based on validated information from the field.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by line manager.

Experience and technical competencies:

  • At least 5 years’ relevant work experience in the area of humanitarian context.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills as well as having a good knowledge of cultural sensitivity.
  • Proven knowledge and experience of work in the Syrian context (NWS)
  • Good understanding of GBV/CP principles.
  • Basic understanding of economic recovery modalities.
  • Good experience in Project Cycle Management (PCM).
  • Good experience with GMS, Proposals development, submissions, follow up, budgeting, financials, revisions and execution.
  • AutoCAD skills

Education:

  • University degree (BA/BSc) in Engineering, Economics, Business, Management or another relevant field.
  • Proficient in MS Office programs, One Drive, etc.
  • English: advanced speaking, writing and report writing skills.
