OTC Kitchen

OTC Kitchen

The OTC Kitchen is a field kitchen that serves at least one hot meal a day to more than 16,000 people in the largest IDP camp inside Syria (Atmeh Camp). The facility kitchen is composed of three rooms, one for cooking, one for storage, and one for the use of staff members.

Since its establishment in December 2012, until the 20th of April 2013, the kitchen depended on donations. Fortunately, this financial dependence came to an end when both Maram and the Assistance Coordination Unit (ACU) reached an agreement wherein the ACU began supporting the OTC kitchen financially.
Apart from providing food to those in need, the kitchen provides job opportunities to approximately 15 IDPs.
